The material presented in this book will provide readers with all the basic knowledge of the theory behind elastic wave propagation and its uses through easy to read text and clear pictorial descriptors.

Discussed UT concepts include:

  • General engineering, materials, and components theory
  • Theory of sound waves and their propagation
  • The general uses of ultrasonic waves
  • Methods of ultrasonic wave generation
  • Different ultrasonic inspection techniques
  • Ultrasonic flaw detectors, scanning systems, and probes
  • Calibration fundamentals
  • General scanning techniques
  • Flaw sizing techniques
  • Basic analysis principles for ultrasonic, phased array ultrasonic, and time of flight diffraction inspection techniques

Understanding US Import Tariffs

When goods are imported into the United States from abroad, US Customs may apply tariffs (sometimes referred to as duties) on certain categories of products. These tariffs are set by US trade authorities and collected at the border, not by us as the manufacturer.
This means:

  • We do not add tariffs to your invoice.
  • Tariffs are determined by US customs regulations and collected upon entry into the country.
  • Products with different categories and countries of origin will incur different duty fees.
  • Your carrier (FedEx, UPS, etc.) acts as an intermediary: they clear your shipment through customs, pay the tariff on your behalf, and then invoice you for reimbursement before releasing your package.

A 20% restocking fee may be applied for returned or refused shipments.
